![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs Everyone has their opinions on the Miami Dolphins and what they did and didn’t do right on the last offensive and defensive drive. Now, it’s Mike Wallace’s turn to give his thoughts on what they could’ve done better. “They have possibly the best quarterback in the game, so any time to have the chance you have to kill the game. You can’t give him a chance to score, or things like that are going to happen. You can’t put your defense in that position, that’s how I felt. We had to win the game right there. If we want to be a championship team then we have to be able to compliment them and finish the football game for our defense.” Some, including myself, have been asking why the Dolphins weren’t more aggressive in getting the first down after slashing through the Packers’ defense the entire second half. Wallace said it could’ve went either way. “I mean, if we get two incomplete passes then they get the ball with more time on the clock. It could go either way. We lost the football game. As an offense we have to be able to help our defense out. Honestly, I do agree with the call to run the ball there. Of course as a wide receiver, I want to ball, I want them to go ahead and throw the ball, but I don’t have a problem with the call coach made. I understand why he did it.” However, the Dolphins didn’t run the ball all three downs and instead, ran it only twice, which could’ve been the difference in Aaron Rodgers not having enough time to finish the game. “That’s a possibility. Like I said, we can always second guess everything that happened out there because of the outcome. If it was a different outcome nobody would be saying anything because we won the football game. That’s football, you make some plays, you lose some plays, it’s everybody’s fault. Everyone is going to have an opinion. I’ll ride with my coaches all day.” Comments are closed.
