![]() Written by Matthew Cannata According to the NFL daily transaction report, center Mike Pouncey and running back Knowshon Moreno will begin the season on the Physically Unable to Perform List. This means that they can still participate in team meetings and take advantage of the facilities but cannot practice with the team. Since this is the preseason, Moreno and Pouncey can be placed onto the active roster at any time, even after the first practice. On the flip side, once a player has taken the field for practice, they cannot be placed on the PUP list. Pouncey tore his labrum during organized team activities about a month ago and recently had surgery. He is expected to miss a minimum of four weeks but could miss as much as eight. There are also rumblings that he may be out the entire season. Moreno had his left knee scoped on June 23 and it was expected that he would miss a month. He should only be out several practices until he is ready to join the team on the field again. A final decision will be made on both of them as we progress through training camp. If either of them are placed on the regular season PUP list, they have to sit out the first six games.
