Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL is expected to expand the practice squad from eight players to ten players. Doing so will create 64 more jobs in the NFL as players who normally would be flat out cut now have a better chance of getting a spot on a team's practice squad.
Now what does this mean for the Miami Dolphins? Well, simply put, it means that some players who weren't going to make the team now have a better shot of doing so. Players like Orleans Darkwa and Damien Williams might wind up getting put on the squad if they survive the waiver wire. Or maybe a linebacker like Andrew Wilson who briefly flashed near the end of the game.
This can only mean good things for the Dolphins in the long run, as well as every other team in the NFL. Who knows who'll wind up in those last two slots, maybe the next Tom Brady or Ray Lewis?
