With the Dolphins officially finished with its pre-season schedule, the media and fans alike have seen enough training camp practices and pre-season games to put together their preliminary assessments of what the upcoming season holds. My outlook on the 2014 season rests on a single number. The Dolphins’ ability (or inability) to attain this number will alone deem this season as a success (or failure). 9 wins is the benchmark, and either exceeding or falling short of this benchmark will have significant implications for the Dolphins’ future. So why 9 wins? Why is that where I draw the line? The answers to those questions are actually quite easy. Simply stated, this TEAM is better than last year’s Miami Dolphins that finished 8-8.
