Written by Matthew Cannata at 3:15 PM EST | Twitter: @PhinManiacs ![]() After a tough loss against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, players on the Miami Dolphins have already moved on and are looking ahead to the Buffalo Bills. This game, of course, will take place on Thursday night so the Dolphins don’t have much time to reflect on the heartbreaking loss anyways. “We’ve got to move on,” said Charles Clay. “The second we walk out of this locker room we’ve got to put this one to bed, so that’s our mindset right now. I mean, you just have to. We’ve got to play a game on Thursday, so you can’t dwell on this one.” Brent Grimes, who did a nice job against Calvin Johnson throughout the game, said that it’s a football game and things didn’t go perfect. He noted that they fought all game, didn’t end the way they wanted, how disappointed they are but agreed with Clay that you have to move on. Ryan Tannehill was blunt and direct when asked about his thoughts on losing the game. However, he noted that there were quite a few positives to take away from the game and the Dolphins must build on them beginning Thursday if they want to win and be successful down the last stretch of the season. “We’re never OK with losing. We come to win, you play to win. If you don’t then you’re not OK with it. I think we did some things well in the game. You have to take the things you did well and recognize those. I think that there was some good things in this game. The biggest thing in my mind right now is that we get the ball with three minutes and change left, have a chance to keep our defense off the field and we don’t get a first down. As an offense, that’s our job to get a first down and run out the clock right there.” “We have to watch the tape, learn from our mistakes, things that didn’t go well and then quickly put it aside and start studying the Bills. It’s another good defense coming to town on a short week. So, we have to rest up, get healthy and get ready for a good defense coming to town.” Tannehill is right when he says that the Bills have a good defense. Also worth mentioning is the fact that the Bills front four, like the Lions, are very dangerous and can cause disruption in the pocket throughout the entire game. It’s shaping up to be another battle and the Dolphins are going to have no choice but to win if they want to keep their playoff hopes alive.
