Reshad Jones and Randy Starks both had big games against the Chicago Bears - Jones had 7 tackles on the day and also added 2 deflected passes to his stat sheet and while Starks only had 1 tackle, he was very disruptive in the pocket throughout the entire game. A lot of this success can be attributed to their work ethic throughout the week and their film study. “After watching film all week we saw he was looking where he threw the ball,” Reshad Jones said. “He was always looking at his receivers and never looking off. I tried to take advantage of that and it paid off.” A big storyline coming into the game was the height advantage the Bears had over the Dolphins. Jones said that he always had a lot of confidence in the corners because of the fact that they are so good. “I think we did a tremendous job; we’ve got two tremendous corners that have been around the league for a while. They’ve seen a lot and done a lot for this league and they held their own." Meanwhile, Starks looked back and recalled the dominance the defense had in all four quarters and was most proud of stopping the run. “[The turnovers] helped. A lot of them put our offense in scoring position. The main thing was it kept their defense on the field and their offense off the field. It looked like we dominated them the whole game from start to finish. We’ll have to look at the tape and make corrections. We got after the quarterback and stopped the run. I think the main thing was stopping the run because once you do that you can make them one dimensional.” Comments are closed.
