Reshad Jones will be suspended four games to begin the 2014 season but he’s not going to let that bring him down. In fact, Jones expects to return immediately to the starting lineup and also plans to earn a spot in the Pro Bowl.
"I know I can't practice, can't lift, can't go to meetings, can't go to games but I'm going to do everything I need to do to make sure I still have a good season for this team," Jones told the Miami Herald. "[The suspension] is a tough thing but this isn't going to change anything. I still expect to be in the Pro Bowl at the end of the year."
"I know my guys in the room have a lot of respect for me as the starter," Jones said. "I know that's what will happen when I get back. I'll have to catch up on game plans. But I'll be ready to play."
While Jones is suspended, Jimmy Wilson will cover his duties. Wilson has been under criticism as of late for his inability to tackle but has reportedly improved in recent practices.
