![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs After a week full of controversy and drama, Ryan Tannehill is relieved that the Miami Dolphins came away with a victory against the Oakland Raiders and admits that it’s a different feeling for himself and the team this week than it was last week. “Well, it feels a little different. I’m not going to lie on that, but it feels good. It is a step in the positive direction for us, for myself and for the offense, for the team. We needed to go over there and come out with a victory, and we were able to do that. I think all phases of the ball played well. We have to build on that. We have some big games coming up and we have to use this time in the bye week to recover physically and mentally, and prepare for what we have coming up. Some said that Joe Philbin and Bill Lazor acted the way they did to light a fire under Tannehill. However, he doesn’t think that was the case and instead, wanted to simply go out and play well, regardless of what was going on. “I don’t think I felt any added pressure or anything like that. I wanted to go out and play well. Regardless of what was going on in the outside world, I have a vision of myself of what player I want to be and how I want to play. Like I said on Sunday, I wasn’t playing up to those standards. I wanted to go out and play well, and make the plays. I think that’s what it comes down to is, being the quarterback, making the plays that are there and leading your team to the end zone. I was able to do that on Sunday.” Let’s hope Tannehill can continue his great quarterback play when they take on the Green Bay Packers on October 12 in Miami. If he does, he will continue to quiet a lot of his critics.
