![]() Written by Matthew Cannata The NFL has released their list of the top 25 selling jerseys throughout the NFL from April 1 – July 17 and Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill has sold the 19th most jerseys. Tannehill, who has been in quite a bit of discussion as a possible franchise quarterback, is entering his third season in what many have been calling a huge year for him. The top five sellers in order Johnny Manziel, Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Peyton Manning and Richard Sherman. Interestingly, Michael Sam came in at sixth despite being a seventh round draft pick. However, we all know the reason why his jersey sales are so high and rightfully so. Another interesting jersey sale came in tenth as the Seahawks 12th man jersey. There is no denying their enthusiasm out there on the west coast. Right ahead of Tannehill at 18 was Blake Bortles and behind him at 20 was Earl Thomas III. Other quarterbacks behind Tannehill were Cam Newton at 23 and Andrew Luck at 25. As you can see, jersey sales are not indicative of performance on the field as there are players who have never even taken a snap in the NFL yet are at and near the top of the list. Hopefully Tannehill can have a monster year and continue to move into the national spotlight.
