After last Saturday’s preseason game, the Miami Dolphins are in some serious trouble at their starting guard positions.
When Dennis Hickey came aboard with the Miami Dolphins, he knew that rebuilding the offensive line was an extremely crucial task this offseason and through the first two preseason games this year, the Dolphins have only allowed two sacks. So far, so good, right? Wrong.
When the Dolphins played on Saturday night, their starting guards struggled against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive line. In particular, right guard Dallas Thomas struggled mightily. He allowed a strip/sack that led to a turnover and after Saturday’s performance, Thomas is on the hot seat. Not only did Thomas allow a sack, he also allowed another quarterback hit, a tackle for loss and was penalized twice.
