The Miami Dolphins through their Special Teams Driven by Chevy Volunteer program will partner with AARP Foundation to pack ONE MILLION MEALS for individuals 50+ in South Florida and support Feeding South Florida with the donation. Volunteers will work an assembly line, combining ingredients and vitamins, to make one million nutritious meals of rice and beans. We focus on four priorities where immediate action and legal advocacy will have the greatest impact: hunger, income, housing and isolation. The organizations are looking for 4,000 volunteers to donate their time to helping those less fortunate. The minimum age to volunteer is 10 years old.
The date of the event will be Sunday, May 3 from 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM. Meals will be packed at the Don Taft University Center Arena at Nova Southeastern University. The address is 3301 College Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33314
