The Miami Dolphins have released defensive tackle Randy Starks, as I had reported on Twitter several days ago. Starks, who has been with the Dolphins since 2008. Prior to that, he was with the Tennessee Titans after being drafted in the third round in 2004. Starks has completed his contract with the Dolphins last off-season but re-signed with the team for two years. They will save $5 million dollars while $1 million dollars will count against the salary cap.
Starks, who is 31-year-old, has 384 career tackles, 41 sacks and two forced fumbles. The Dolphins were able to move on from Starks after signing Ndamukong Suh on Tuesday. Talk about this and all the other Dolphins' moves TONIGHT at 7:30 PM EST during our live podcast as we recap free agency and more. Chat with us and also speak in our Google Hangout.
