![]() Written by Matthew Cannata | Twitter: @PhinManiacs If everything stays according to plan, Mike Pouncey is expected to be ready to play against the Green Bay Packers on October 12. In fact, during Tuesday’s practice, Pouncey took all of the first-team reps at the center position. What does this mean for Samson Satele though, who has done a solid job in his absence? “Nothing is off the table. We will see one day at a time and see if we get the best five guys out there, whoever those may be, whatever combination may be. We’re open to anything,” said Joe Philbin. One possibility is that the Dolphins move either Satele or Pouncey to guard and have the other play the center position. This would allow the team to have the best five guys on the line. “That’s all part of the thought process. As you know, if you study us, we typically bring seven linemen to the games. Who are those seven guys going to be and who is going to be where? We’ve got to have to have contingency plans as you just mentioned," Philbin said. "Nothing is off the table, for sure. We are practicing one day at a time. We are going to get our best players on the field in whatever combination that has to be.” I would be surprised if the team moved Pouncey to guard but anything is possible. It truly is important to get the five best lineman on the field at once and if moving Pouncey to guard makes that possible, then the Dolphins should do it.
