Written by Matthew Cannata at 10:40 AM EST | Twitter: @PhinManiacs ![]() Three young players – Dion Jordan, Terrence Fede and Gator Hoskins – are looking to start making an impact on the field and the coaching staff is confident in their abilities. The most known player of that group is of course Jordan, who just returned last week from his six game suspension. Now, Kevin Coyle is looking to get him even more involved in Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers. “Like I say, the (Miami) Heat opened up (their season) last night, and you think he could have been coming off the bench maybe for a few minutes. He’s a great athlete. I think he can match up with tight ends. He can cover running backs. He’s a versatile guy. We’ll continue to try to find ways that he can help us and use his versatility as best as we can. He’s going to be in a number of packages this week, yes.” Fede, who was a seventh round draft pick, also gets Coyle excited when talking about potential and future success in the NFL. “Terrence is an excellent young prospect. We were excited we were able to bring him here and I think, as he grows and develops and continues to compete at this level, he has a great future with us as well.” Hoskins, who was brought in during training camp, has made a name for himself on the roster and has seen his playing time improve over the past several games. Joe Philbin is looking for continued improvement and continued success. “One thing about Gator, he’s a smart football player. He picks things up well. He caught onto our system real quickly when he first got here. He’s a guy that we can lineup in a bunch of different spots. He’s done a good job and he played his most extensive action in the Oakland game, if I’m not mistaken. We saw some good things from him.” Those three players are an important part of the team’s future and it’s good to see that the coaches are happy with their progress and are also working to get them into the game more often.
