The Brady Quinn experiment was short lived as he announced on Twitter today that he was released by the Miami Dolphins. Quinn appeared in just one preseason game in very limited action with the Dolphins already up by a considerable margin, thus mainly being relegated to handing off the ball.
In practices, Quinn had looked erratic and uncomfortable, which no doubt played a huge part in his release. Many had thought that Quinn was signed to push Matt Moore to do better and get back on the field. Many would argue that the plan worked. Whether or not the Dolphins were looking at things more long-term with him won't ever be known but for now, it appears the Dolphins will head into the season with two quarterbacks - Ryan Tannehill and Moore. Seth Lobato is expected to be signed to the practice squad following final cuts.
