The new look Miami Dolphins offense hit the field on Friday against the Atlanta Falcons and the early results were promising. From the very first snap of the game, the team spread the field, got the ball out of the quarterback's hand quickly and got the ball in open space.
Quarterback Ryan Tannehill was a prefect 6-for-6 passing, throwing for 62 yards, one touchdown on no interceptions. The best news of the day? He was barely touched in his only drive on the field - 10-plays and 73 yards.
"It was a great first series," Philbin said, "just the way we want to start the game. We had good balance on the drive."
"I think we ran some good stuff tonight," Tannehill said. "It wasn't an overly complicated gameplan, we really kept it to the basics and guys were out there confident in what they're doing and we were able to execute."
The first team offense played extremely well, despite missing Mike Wallace, Brian Hartline, Charles Clay and Knowshon Moreno. The possibilities are endless once those players get back from their injuries.
