On the NFL Network top 100 plays of 2013 show, the panel discussed quarterback Ryan Tannehill and the Miami Dolphins offense.
Jordan Babineaux of the NFL Network believes that the entire Miami Dolphins team must take a step up in 2014 in order to be better. More specifically, he said that the biggest improvement must be on the offensive line. With five new starters, he believes that Tannehill might be a little on edge behind that line.
Curtis Conway added that one way that the Dolphins can help Tannehill is with their offensive structure, mainly dumping balls off to the running backs more often. Last year, the Dolphins tried to move the ball down the field in some situations where a short pass may have made much more sense.
The Dolphins made strides to improve both of those areas during the offseason by signing Branden Albert and Shelley Smith along with drafting Ja'Wuan James and Billy Turner on the offensive line. In addition, they brought in Knowshon Moreno for his pass blocking and receiving skills. Those additions, along with the new offense with Bill Lazor, should make for a much more exciting and improved offense in 2014.
